TILT: INNOVATION FACTORY LAUNCHES A NEW IFCHALLENGE CALL RELATED TO ICT

The TILT project (Teorema Incubation Lab Trieste) is renewed with a new opportunity for innovative start-ups in the field of business to business (B2B) ICT. It is the call “IFchallenge” launched by Innovation Factory – the certified incubator of AREA Science Park – dedicated to those who want to create or accelerate the development of new enterprises in the fields of virtual reality, the Internet of Things, smart health, maritime technologies and tourism.

All requirements and procedures for admission are available on the site www.innovationfactory.it. The deadline for submitting applications is August 8, 2016.

The selection process will be divided into two phases. The first provides for the identification of 12 projects to be included in the first acceleration, during which a range of services will be made available: a dedicated enterprise coach; managerial assistance geared to the definition of the value proposition, marketing and business strategy, business model, financial planning, business plan development; equipped facilities.

In the second phase the entrepreneurial projects most suitable to be part of the TILT project, which will receive resources, expertise and services such as: training, a dedicated acceleration and assistance program, co-working spaces, marketing support, promotion, provision of a commercial network for access to the market, administrative support, technical development (hardware and software needed for the development of the business idea, sharing of prototypes of programs and projects, part of the intellectual heritage of Teorema).

“This new opportunity for start-ups to be part of TILT is particularly significant – said Michele Balbi, President of Teorema – in fact this falls in conjunction with the eighteenth anniversary of Teorema, a company created in AREA Science Park on June 29, 1998. An important date for the company, celebrating its “coming of age”.  Hopefully this is a good omen for a new generation of successful entrepreneurs.”

“I am very pleased with the publication of the new call within the planned schedule – underlines Stefano Casaleggi, General Manager of AREA Science Park. This confirms the importance we attach to the TILT project as part of AREA’s strategies for facilitating start-ups. After the ICT, we are planning new Innovation Factory calls in the sectors of life sciences and new materials”.
