Creation and development of new businesses in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Council has assigned Area Science Park the task of coordinating a network of certified regional incubators to support the creation of new businesses in the sector of Cultural and Creative Enterprises and tourist enterprises.
More specifically, Area Science Park has been requested to transform innovative cultural and creative projects into business initiatives that create products, services and industrial applications, generating economic value to:

  • promote business culture and new entrepreneurial ideas
  • support technological transfer and the creation of knowledge-intensive new businesses with a high growth potential
  • provide suitable tools, increasing experimental capabilities
  • innovate and access a suitable range of technical and managerial skills
  • facilitate access to funding.

Another important goal is to support technological and market development for enterprises, making them more competitive and helping them to grow in terms of turnover, employment and profitability:

  • to help cultural and creative enterprises to develop in their local and regional setting, as a launchpad for a stronger global presence
  • to provide qualified support and facilitate the purchase of goods and services required for the development and validation, in technological and market terms, of their products and services.

Funding

The programme is financed with POR FESR FVG 2014–2020 structural funds assigned by the Regional Council for the 2014–2020 period under the management of the Central department for culture, sport and solidarity:

ACTION AREA 2.1.b.1 – Pre-incubation and incubation
To support enterprise pre-incubation and incubation programmes aimed at implementing projects for the creation/development of a new cultural and creative enterprise.
Area 2.1.b.1 – 19 projects launched as of November 2018
Area 2.1.b.1.bis – 28 projects launched as of February 2020

ACTION AREA 2.1.b.2 – Acceleration and consolidation
To support enterprise acceleration and consolidation programmes aimed at implementing projects for entrepreneurial development in cultural and creative enterprises.
