ICGEB: ALL IS NOW OPEN FOR CRP Collaborative Research Programme

Funding opportunities are made available through the Collaborative Research Programme (CRP) – ICGEB Research Grants, which is a dedicated source of funding aimed at financing projects addressing original scientific problems of particular relevance for the host country and of regional interest.

Active collaboration with ICGEB Research Groups is welcome but is not mandatory. Particular attention will be given to projects addressing issues of interest for specific geographic regions and presented by groups collaborating across more than one country.

A unique source of funding for projects addressing original scientific problems of particular relevance for the Host country, this programme aims: to stimulate collaborative research in ICGEB Member States and with the ICGEB Component laboratories, promote training of young scientists, and facilitate the creation of appropriate research facilities. Support is provided for research projects in basic life sciences, human healthcare, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and bioenergy. A special category, CRP-ICGEB Early Career Return Grants, funds young researchers with an outstanding track record, who have spent a minimum of 2 years abroad and who have returned to an ICGEB Member State to establish an independent laboratory.

Applicants should hold positions at Universities or Research Institutes in ICGEB Member States.

Closing date for applications: for submission to the ICGEB Liaison Officer to obtain endorsement: 30 April 2017.

Endorsed proposals must arrive at ICGEB Trieste by 31 May 2017
