CES 2022: 44 Italian start-ups in Las Vegas

The mission organised by Area Science Park and ICE taking Italian technology start-ups to the 2022 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has come to a close. Some 44 Italian start-ups in sectors ranging from health to ICT took part, presenting technological innovations including nanosatellites, digital gardens and bionic hands, to name but a few.

Among them, two were founded at Area Science Park. PICOSATS designs and develops ultra-high performance miniaturised satellites capable of transmitting data at very high speeds, for applications in telecommunications and environmental monitoring. M2Test is the developer behind BESTest, an innovative test for evaluating bone fragility that creates a virtual biopsy of the patient’s bone architecture.

“The mission was not just a showcase event,” explains Fabrizio Rovatti, managing director of Innovation Factory, Area Science Park’s incubator, “instead it was part of the growth path of these companies, offering the necessary training to ensure they were ready to meet with potential investors from all over the world”.
