Active and healthy ageing. The Astahg Project gathers the best practices experimented in response to the Covid19 emergency

From online monitoring of quarantined patients to round-the-clock telephone assistance and development of applications with up-to-date information contents on the pandemic: these are only a few examples of good practices experimented in the last few months at the service of the elderly to face the Covid-19 sanitary emergency. They are projects, services and initiatives that can be used as examples or models to be followed and implemented and that Area Science Park is gathering through an ad-hoc survey, together with other eight partners (representing the Alpine Space, more specifically, Italy, France, Slovenia, Austria and Switzerland). This questionnaire brings out the ways used to meet the many demands from the elderly during the sanitary emergency caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

“The initiatives we are gathering – explains Michela Cinello, Area Science Park’s smart-health expert technologist – are a source of useful knowledge to find out what has already been done and to implement new systems and to meet demands in an increasingly more adequate and timely manner. We have already gathered a dozen good practices, ranging from psychological assistance to information services and the development of technological products. These also include a few that have been developed in Friuli Venezia Giulia”. The results will be available as from December 2020.

The questionnaire has also been developed in collaboration with INAPP (Italian National Institute for the Analysis of Public Policies) and ProMIS, the International Building Blocks Program for Healthcare – two entities that actively promote health – and it is available until 15 October 2020 at the following link: Survey Covid-19.

The survey activity originated within the context of ASTAHG, a project funded by the Alpine Space program, which is realizing a portfolio of good governance practices, an observatory on the existing services and initiatives linked to innovation and a framework to plan new policies and activities for active and healthy ageing.
