Ulisse Biomed developed an innovative diagnostic kit (Ladymed) that can easily detect the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is responsible for cervical cancer, by means of a self-sampling at home. Compared to the most common molecular tests used in national screening, Ladymed is also able to genotype the virus, i.e. provide precise indications of the strain present in the infection.
